Are you visiting on business?
Waikato DHB's visiting policy applies at all our sites and facilities, and covers:
- suppliers
- vendors
- contractors
- hawkers/peddlers
- non-Waikato DHB suppliers
- any persons visiting for the purpose of business advancement
- people collecting on behalf of a charitable organisation.
Business visitors are not authorised to freely access Waikato DHB facilities. You need to make sure you have arranged the visit with an appropriate person in advance, that you are clearly identified and that you adhere to the procedures for each site.
Usually this means registering at an enquiries or reception desk and obtaining a Waikato DHB visitor’s pass. The person you are meeting will then be told of your arrival:

8am - 8pm
Weekends and public holidays
8.30am - 5pm
Waikato Hospital Theatres

Day of Surgery Admission Unit (DOSA) Reception, Level 3, Meade Clinical Centre
Monday to Friday
7am - 4.30pm
Other Waikato DHB approved locations
As per local arrangement (a visitor sign in/sign out book is usually located at the front desk)
For security and safety reasons, we ask that you comply with our policy. Failure to do so may result in you being requested to leave or escorted off our property by security or by staff members who are authorised by the chief executive.
