What about former employees?

Ex-employees will be able to register their contact details at a specifically established national website to ensure up-to-date contact information. This will make it easier for Waikato DHB to contact them should they be owed money. That website will be well publicised and a link placed on this page as soon as it is available. It will include FAQs for ex-employees.

Postgraduate study

Allied Health Staff members are encouraged to use a number of free paper opportunities. Currently there are free papers offered for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy at AUT, and for any Allied Health staff member at Wintec.

There is an application process; demonstration of supervision of students and a career and development plan is required. Please contact your manager to discuss details.

How will we know what is happening and if we need to do anything?

We will keep this page regularly updated on Waikato DHB progress as we move through the three phases of the process.

Union members can also contact their organiser/advocate with questions or concerns.

Current employees don't need to do anything. If you are identified as being owed money, we will already have your account details and you will receive a statement outlining the adjustments once we have calculated them.

ACLS core skills courses

(Previously known as ACLS Refresher Courses no-assessed)

These courses are delivered by qualified and experienced NZRC instructors who are practicing medical, paramedical and nursing staff from Waikato Hospital and the Waikato Skills and simulation Centre.  For GPs requiring CME accreditation for AVE and MOPS these courses are endorsed for 8 CME Credits.  They are non-assessed and meet the RNZCGP three yearly refresher requirements for GPs.
