COVID-19 vaccination workers
Join our team to protect Waikato against COVID-19
As the COVID-19 vaccination programme begins to ramp up, we're looking to significantly boost our teams of vaccinators, admin staff and kai manaaki. We'd love for you to join us in this important mahi to help protect Aotearoa/New Zealand against COVID-19.
We have some great opportunities for the right people, though there are some specific requirements for the role we have available.
We're looking for administrators to support the vaccination programme by booking appointments and reception duties at vaccination sites.
This is a fixed term role for 3-6 months initially with either full or part-time hours.
If you have previous administration or reception experience, have good computer skills or ability to pick new systems quickly and have a great phone manner we'd encourage you to apply using the link below.
The kai manaaki bring to life the manaakitanga we provide to all those who come through our vaccination sites and make sure each person is cared for at each step of the process.
They also help with everything ranging from a person's specific need, to relief admin support and helping the centre manager where necessary.
If you have an excellent understanding of Tikanga Māori, have cultural and lived experience supporting others and are comfortable in Māori communities apply using the link below!
Vaccinators are playing a critical role in the biggest vaccination programme in New Zealand history.
Aside from being able to put people at ease, vaccinators will work with other agencies to support the wellbeing of the Waikato DHB community. They will also sometimes be referring and liaising with other health agencies as well as provide an acute response when necessary.
Any authorised or provisional vaccinators are strongly encourage to apply. Nurses interested in upskilling will receive strong support and full training (online and in-person) to become qualified.
