Tips for using SmartHealth

Store personal details of medications, conditions and treatments in your online SmartHealth Profile

Always on hand: If your computer or device is stolen or broken the health information you have collected is not lost.

It is more private: People are less likely to accidentally stumble across personal health information if it is stored in SmartHealth rather than on a computer or device.

Information is easily accessible to you: When having a consultation either face to face or using SmartHealth, you can easily open your SmartHealth account and share health information.

Don't have to rely on your memory: Having health information stored in SmartHealth saves having to try and remember dates and details of health events including bouts of illness, medications, treatments and vaccinations.

Store health information of your extended family in SmartHealth

Build up a bigger picture: Whenever hearing about family illnesses, record them in SmartHealth so when your GP asks you if any member of your family has had a particular illness or condition you can give an informed answer.

Store health images or photos securely and privately in the Files section

Store a sequence of images: SmartHealth is great if you need to take a series of images to record how a health situation has changed over time.

Store private health pictures: Pictures of more private areas of your body, with a health concern, can be stored in a place away from prying eyes particularly if your computer is ever lost or stolen.

Please Note: Uploaded files and pictures are not automatically shared with people in your care-team but can be shared with your GP or other health professional during a consult.

Store documents

Store text or other documents: Android and browser access to HealthTap lets you upload and store a range of documents including text files and videos.
