“Our friendly department has a diverse group of dynamic, approachable and supportive consultants.and will provide a strong anaesthetic foundation, tailored to your needs”
Two College recognized (Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists) registrar positions allow for close support and training tailored to individual needs.
Well suited to entry level or basic trainees, this also offers great opportunity to final year trainees who have completed all specialised study units.
No previous Anaesthetic experience is necessary.
Minimal service demands on basic trainees allows a focus on learning and the gaining of clinical experience. Basic trainees work one long day a week with supervision.
There are no night or weekend work requirements. Final year registrars, who have completed specialised study units, can consolidate their training by inclusion on the specialists afterhours roster (with specialist backup). This cultivates the transition to consultant responsibility and function in a safe, supported environment.
Educational opportunities including weekly CME, Audit and in-house teaching programme.
Where appropriate, time and transport are available to join the comprehensive weekly Waikato Part I teaching.
Rotorua is a key North Island outdoor destination and offers superb after-work activities. You will enjoy lakes, forests, mountains and close proximity to beaches.
