Tokoroa Hospital services

Tokoroa Hospital servicesTokoroa Hospital is a rural secondary level hospital that serves the South Waikato area.

The Tokoroa Hospital Emergency Department is the third busiest within the Waikato DHB and also supports a GP clinic which can be accessed on Saturdays.  Services are supported by 24/7 radiography and laboratory services.

Allied Health services are shared between the community-based Family Health Team and Tokoroa Hospital.  This allows for a seamless progression from hospital to home care for clients, and supports recruitment and retention of staff.

In 2013 Tokoroa Hospital has seen the successful refurbishment of two unused wards to convert them into a modern health centre with a range of health services. Read more about this project.
